You can't underestimate the power of people.  For better or worse, we make things happen.

If there is one outstanding lesson I've learned since starting this blog, it's that everything is easier when you have good people around to help you out.

Whether through books, blogs, or Facebook, we all learn from each other.  We give and we get, and that's how big things happen.

I've decided to open up the blog a bit and start building up this great community of escapists.  Below you will find 3 ways in which you can start getting connected and working on that dream of yours.  I'll make no secret of it - we need your help.  But, we are probably able to help you out as well.  Let's get connected and see where the road leads us.

The Escapists

I've started a new Facebook group. You can JOIN THE ESCAPISTS HERE.  This group is for individuals and families who are interested in:

• Doing What They Love.
• Location Independence.
• Creating Their Own Business.
• Getting Closer To Their Family And Friends.
• Making Change.
• Writing.
• Blogging.
• Traveling Forever.
• And all the other stuff we're "not supposed to do", even though we know it's right and we want to do it.

This will be a place where we can ask questions, get and give educated advice, and expand our ideas.  This group will be public for the next few days, but after that it will be by invite only.  So if you want to join - do it now.  My hope for this group is that it will become a place where people who really want to make change can get some support and network.  Like I said, most of can't do this alone.  Here is a good way to get your projects rolling.

Tell Us Your Escape Story

Starting today I will be publishing 2 guest posts a month on the blog.  All are encouraged to participate.

What I'm looking for is your story.  What you're trying to accomplish?  Why?  How?  What's your big dream?

You do not need to be a traveler, writer, or business tycoon.  You just need to have a big dream, and the guts to put your dream out there and follow it.

Have a story you think is unique?  Have a big business idea and want to test the waters?  Got a charity you want to promote?  Want to take a shot at writing?  Contact Us.  People do want to hear your story.

I think the one of the biggest misconceptions I had before I started this project was that I had to have "credentials" to start a new career.  That's not the case at all.  What you need to do is just start doing.  Go public.  Put yourself out there.  Spread the news.  And wait and see.

Monthly Q & A's

I love reading posts and articles that pose challenging questions and gather responses from thoughtful minds.  I love seeing what people think and do.  It helps me think about things differently.  It helps us get to where we're going.

Each month I am going to be posing a question or scenario to all our friends on Facebook and looking for your responses.  These will be questions/challenges that get right to the heart of it all.  Good, thought-inducing stuff.

Again, this is an opportunity for you to share your ideas, opinions, and knowledge with the rest of the world, but also a chance for us to learn from each other.  I'm going to take 5- 10 of the best responses I get each month and include them in a post.  And yes, if you have a website, please include a link.
